Service 02Comparative Analysis & Reporting· 6 Month Program

Choosing the wrong model is a decision you pay for every month for three years.

A six-month analysis program that reviews and compares every cloud and local AI model in the world against your organization's real needs. Which model fits which job — laid out clearly and evidence-based, in tables you can take into a decision meeting.

AI Model Watch and Stack Intelligence — Comparative Analysis & Reporting

Why it exists

The problem underneath.

Model selection is usually made once, quickly, by whoever set up the first proof of concept — and then inherited by everything built afterwards. The cost of that decision does not appear in the pilot; it appears eighteen months later in the invoice, in latency, and in the capabilities you cannot add because the chosen model does not have them.

This program treats model selection as an ongoing analysis rather than a one-time choice. We maintain a current inventory of cloud and on-premise models, evaluate them against the specific capabilities your organization needs — OCR, speech recognition, voice conversation, coding, reasoning — and score cost against performance. When new models and platforms enter the market, you get a briefing on what they change for you specifically, not a general industry update.

Program scope

What the program covers.

01

Cloud & Local Model Scan

A comprehensive, continuously updated inventory of cloud and on-premise AI models available worldwide.

02

Need-Based Capability Comparison

Evaluation against the capabilities your organization actually needs — OCR, speech recognition, voice chat, coding and more.

03

Cost / Performance Tables

Comparing models by cost, speed and performance, with clear scoring tables built to support a decision.

04

New Model & Platform Briefings

Regular briefings on new entrants and an assessment of what they change for your organization specifically.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn't.

Most providers only answer the first half. The second half saves everybody a quarter.

A good fit if

  • You are about to standardise on a model and the decision will outlive the project
  • You run workloads where cost per token materially affects the business case
  • Data residency or on-premise requirements narrow your options in non-obvious ways
  • You need an evidence trail for a model decision, not a vendor recommendation

Probably not if

  • You have one small use case and any competent model will do
  • You are contractually locked to a single cloud vendor with no flexibility
  • You need implementation rather than selection analysis
FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Are you independent of the model vendors?

Yes. We do not resell model capacity and have no commercial relationship that depends on which model you choose. The output is a comparison, not a recommendation with a margin behind it.

Why six months rather than a one-off report?

Because a one-off report is out of date within a quarter. The value is in the ongoing series — you see how a model's cost, capability and reliability move, and you get told when something new actually matters to you.

Do you test local models too?

Yes. On-premise and open-weight models are a central part of the scan, particularly for organizations with data residency constraints where cloud options are effectively closed.

What does the output look like?

Scored comparison tables per capability, cost/performance analysis, and a written assessment. Built to be taken into a decision meeting rather than read as a research document.

Can you test against our own data?

Yes, and this is where the analysis becomes genuinely decisive — public benchmarks rarely predict performance on your documents, your accents or your domain language.
